The menu celebrates the very best of Scottish coastal cuisine, with a strong emphasis on fresh, locally sourced seafood and hearty classics. Standouts include the perfectly crispy Fish and Chips, tender Roast Cod Fillet bathed in a delicate caper sauce and served alongside samphire and roast potatoes, and the rich, slow-roasted Ox Cheeks nestled in a luscious red wine jus. For those seeking something a bit more indulgent, the Whole Locally Caught Lobster and succulent Langoustines provide a taste of the sea at its most luxurious.

Each dish is crafted with care and flair, whether it’s the robust Steak Pie with a flaky golden crust, or the inventive starters such as sautéed squid paired with smoky chorizo, and homemade mackerel pâté served with toast and fresh leaves. Even the homemade quiche, changing daily, speaks to the kitchen’s commitment to freshness and flavor. Great food, good beer and lovely views of the sea from our window table. The bar man on our first visit really knew his drinks and gave us some excellent advice about the gins they had.

Had an absolutely lovely meal here. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food was divine, my table ordered the ox cheek, steak pie and a steak and I would recommend all three. Nice selection of beers, ciders and wines.

We visited this wonderful traditional pub/restaurant in late May during a hot sunny weekend and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere with food to match. A pile of excellent fish and chips and fresh fish cooked to perfection. What made this so memorable was the welcome we got from the owner. His son was running a marathon that day, in memory of his late wife/landlady/the lad's mum, (taken way too soon we learned), yet here we were, being cared for with such decency and care. We all lifted a glass, and donated to the cause.

We got the NB ferry across to do part of the Fife Coastal Walk and stopped here for a drink in the beer garden. Very friendly and excellent service. The food looked good. We are now thinking about staying in Cellardykes for a holiday partly on the strength of our experience here.

Great food and great views of the paddle boarders. We had mussels with a great garlic cream broth, ox cheeks in a nice red wine au jus and roasted cod in a caper sauce. All well cooked and delicious
